I'm almost certain that SD3 is the way to go but I want to be sure that tweaking each drum isn't going to kill the spontaneity of a session. EZdrummer 2 Demo 64-bit is a software program developed by Toontrack. only me and a handful of friends will listen to? Is this something that I can create a preset and then apply it to different kits or would I need to do it on a kit by kit basis and then save the preset for each? I was set on EZDrummer but now Toontrack is.

This video specifically targets the onboard selection of EQs. I'm angling to get either EZDrummer 2 or Superior Drummer 2 in the next few days - I've been recording with a Roland TD-11 and would like to take that next step in sound quality by triggering one of these programs instead of using the module's sounds.

I know EZ2 is much better at getting sounds immediately but how much work is really needed in SD3 to get a good sound fairly quickly? I know a fair amount of how to get drums to sound good in a mix but I'm not sure if I want to endlessly adjust things to get the drums to sound good on a song that.

The big plus to SD3 is definitely about having the grid editor in there (so my drums are always live and I'm not jumping back and forth to edit in Logic). The second part is I'm used to having much more control over the sound and mix but I really miss having the ability of editing the beats easily in the EZ2 demo. Peace and war, love and hate, good and evil, yin and yang, heaven and hell, light and dark, fire and ice these two EZXs for EZdrummer 2 celebrate one of the oldest and most fabled truths known to man: Duality. I was actually ok with getting the Dream Machine as it seems cool and was cheap, and if I buy a piano pack I’m still ahead with.

I find the variations a massive inspiration in all this. I let the sales get a hold of me and bought EZdrummer for 70 and keys for 39, this one was cheaper with the less popular versions like the strings and Dream Machine (which I got). I play and record for fun and I create songs that almost always start off with a beat so that's where the song creator part is a BIG part of why I'm considering SD3. I'm really digging' the song creator and the MIDI for generating ideas. I'm on the fence with buying SD3 and would like some advice.Ĭurrently I use an older version of Addictive Drums and I've been trying out the EZ2 demo.
